Tools Needed for SQL
In order to run SQL commands we need an engine or platform. Some big names include Oracle and Sybase, for our purposes a copy of Xampp for windows will do, if you are running windows will do. Xampp is server software which will enable us to run server side processes in our desktop, such as php files. It also comes with phpmyadmin which is what we will use for our database purposes.
Download Xampp (choose the installer, leave settings at default if you are unsure, it is a cinch to install)
If you have Microsoft Access, you can also use that to run SQL commands.
